Shawn is actually dragging me out tonight...
Comply: NO COMPLY
Remember back in those halcyon summer days, when kids with spike-swoop haircuts would sulk over to your house on their skateboards, kick-flipping the whole way, bangs covering everyone’s pot-reddened eyes, just to bask in your glory as Thrasher’s newly claimed “heir to the Hosoi throne”? Man, those were the days.

The Sickest F***ing Stories I Ever Heard is an exercise in comedy vérité that’s as bluntly provocative as its title. Five comics play poker onstage, betting real money, drinking real beer and telling real sick stories. As Time Out NY puts it: “Imagine if the Algonquin Round Table were to trade Dorothy Parker and Robert Benchley for Howard Stern and Al Goldstein.”
Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at the door.

Let's get to it: ACL Fest organizers dropped the aftershow schedule yesterday, and it's fairly extensive. Stubb's, La Zona Rosa, The Parish, and Antone's will all host aftershows over the Thursday to Sunday that everyone is in town for the big event. Highlights include an intimate show from The White Stripes and Cold War Kids at Stubb's, an extra gig from Argentina's loungerific Gotan Project (also at Stubb's), appearances by Spoon, Common, and Queens Of The Stone Age at La Zona Rosa, and a Rodrigo y Gabriela show at Antone's.
